Verse of the Week - September 10th 2023
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."
Galatians 6:9
Galatians 6:9 gives us a down-to-earth message about not losing our steam when it comes to doing good. Life can be tough, and sometimes it's tempting to throw in the towel. But this verse is all about persevering.
Think of it like being a dedicated farmer. You've planted the seeds of goodness, and now you're waiting for the harvest. The thing is, it's not going to happen overnight. This verse reminds us that good things take time, just like growing a real crop.
So, even when doing good feels like an uphill battle, don't give up. Keep at it. Your efforts will eventually pay off, like waiting for that perfect moment when your hard work finally pays dividends. Stay committed, keep being good, and trust that the rewards will come when the time is right.

I love this reflection! As a busy college student who runs and is working towards a teaching degree, I have had to put so much time into training and studying, but the rewards that have come from the time and effort have made me the person I am today- Someone who takes every battle and hardship and conquers all the mountains with joy and hard work- “its not going to happen overnight”- Every trial gives you the opportunity to grow, knowing that you can not get what you want overnight- You have to put the time and training into your mission

How can we maintain our motivation to do good even when faced with challenges and setbacks, and what strategies can we employ to ensure that we do not ‘grow weary’ in our pursuit of goodness and righteousness?
We can maintain our motivation to do good by remembering the promise that God has given unto us in the moment when it is very stressful and hard and life is crazy take a moment and talk to God like you would talk to a friend and let him know what’s bothering you. Also look up Bible verses or bible scriptures that will help you keep the faith and no matter what it looks like God will never leave us nor forsake us he’s with us till the very end .
