Trusting God with Your Work - Proverbs 16:3

"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established."

- Proverbs 16:3

We live in a world that glorifies the grind—where success is measured by how much we hustle, how many hours we put in, and how fast we can climb the ladder. But Proverbs 16:3 offers a different perspective: true success comes when we commit our work to the Lord.

This doesn’t mean we sit back and wait for things to happen. It means we align our efforts with God’s purpose, trusting Him with the outcome. When we work in our own strength, anxiety and burnout are inevitable. But when we surrender our goals, our business, and even our fitness journey to Him, we trade stress for peace.

Think of it like training in the gym—if your foundation is weak, your progress will suffer. The same is true in life. When God is your foundation, your efforts are strengthened, your path is directed, and your purpose is secured.

Whatever you're working toward right now—a business, a dream, a fitness goal—take a moment to commit it to God. Pray over your plans, invite Him into the process, and trust that when your work is aligned with His will, He will establish your path.

Prayer:

Lord, I commit my work to You. Help me to trust in Your plans over my own, and remind me that success is found in obedience, not just achievement. Strengthen my hands, renew my focus, and guide my steps so that all I do brings You glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
