Ambassador of The Month - August 2024
Our July Ambassador of the Month is Holli Wigginton!
Her Testimony
I was never one to follow faith growing up. I was baptized in the Catholic church as a baby but that was about the extent of my faith. When I began facing hardships in high school, I turned to the gym to cope. I trained for and completed 3 half marathons during my sophomore and junior years and later suffered a stress fracture in my foot. Following years of health struggles beginning my junior year I turned to strength training to manage the emotions and anxiety brought on by my diagnosis. What started as a coping mechanism turned into an absolute passion. However, my passion was derailed by debilitating back pain starting in 2021, which became an excruciatingly long and painful process to find solutions. Three days prior to surgery, I was briefly introduced to Jesus by a college classmate turned best friend, in the parking lot of my apartment complex. I eventually had spine surgery lasting 9 hours in July of 2022 and I turned to Jesus to guide me through my recovery. He did just that and had given me strength I couldn’t imagine regaining. I dedicated my life to Christ on January 3, 2023, and was re-baptized on March 26, 2023 and have been living for Christ ever since. It isn't always easy, but I have never been happier and more fulfilled. I am hoping to help others find their identity in Christ by pursuing a Master's of Social Work degree with a faith-based area of focus. My life has completely changed for the better. All glory to God!
